Moon Wisdom Club is a moon-keyed journal. We use your information to create your account, draw Your Sky, save your marks, deliver membership, and keep the service working.
New marks begin private. You choose if a mark and your profile become public.
We do not sell personal information, serve behavioural ads, or use app data for cross-company tracking.
Apple Health is read only after you ask to attach an activity. We do not read heart rate, routes, or continuous biometrics.
You can change public settings, manage Health access, request a copy, correct information, or delete your account.

Scope and operator
Moon Wisdom Club, also called “mwc,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy, is a moon-keyed journaling app and website operated by Moon Wisdom Ltd. This policy covers the Moon Wisdom Club iOS app, moonwisdomclub.com, public profile and mark pages, account services, and messages you send to support.
It does not cover Apple’s own services or third-party websites that have their own privacy policies.

How information reaches us
You provide some information directly when you create an account, enter birth details, write a mark, choose an avatar, make something public, purchase membership, or contact us. Other information is generated by your use of the service, such as a lunar stamp, subscription status, or limited analytics. We receive information from Apple, RevenueCat, and other service providers when they perform work for us.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not serve behavioural advertising.
- We do not use iOS app data to track you across apps or companies.
- We do not train AI models on your marks or any of your data. We have no generative AI features and do not have plans to build out generative AI features.
- We do not read heart rate, workout routes, pace, breathing rate, or continuous biometrics from Apple Health.
Optional and user-directed
Apple Health
Moon Wisdom Club requests read access only when you choose the activity attachment feature. Apple controls the permission prompt. Denying access does not prevent you from writing marks or using the rest of the app.
The app reads only supported workouts and mindfulness sessions needed to show the activity picker. We upload the details of an activity only after you choose it and save the mark. We do not use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or credit decisions.
You can change access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. Removing Health permission stops future reads. To remove an activity already saved with a mark, edit or delete that mark, or contact us for help.
Any activity you attach syncs privately for your own journal in the app. It is never shown on your public page or published anywhere, even when the mark itself is public.
Sharing is a choice
Public profiles and marks
Your profile can be private or public. A public profile may show the username, display name, avatar, biography, Instagram link, Founding Star badge, and marks you choose to make public. Public marks have shareable web addresses and may be viewed, copied, indexed by search engines, or reshared by other people.
A private profile still could show your username, avatar, and short bio at its web address; your display name, and marks.
Changing a mark back to private or deleting it stops us from displaying it publicly. Copies outside our control, including screenshots, search-engine caches, and reposts made by other people, may remain.
Do not publish information you want to keep private. Public content must follow our Community Guidelines.
Who helps us operate
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as needed to operate the service, complete a request, protect people and the service, comply with law, or complete a business transaction with appropriate safeguards.
- Our Database provides authentication, database, storage, and server functions for account, profile, mark, and product data.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases, subscription management, HealthKit permissions, and Apple platform services. Apple handles payment credentials.
- RevenueCat manages subscription entitlements, purchase status, and membership analytics using the account and cohort attributes described above.
- Mapbox powers birth-place search on our website. The place text you type is sent to Mapbox to suggest matching places, and the place you choose is resolved to its coordinates and time zone. These requests are made by our servers rather than by your browser. In the iOS app the same search is handled by Apple MapKit instead and never reaches Mapbox.
- AstrologerAPI receives birth chart inputs needed to calculate natal charts and certain astrological data. Results are cached in our protected database.
- Our Email Provider delivers our email, including account messages and the optional moon letter. For the letter it holds your email address and subscription status, and it provides the unsubscribe link in every letter.
- Google Analytics 4 measures website use when configured. It receives privacy-limited funnel events and standard page views, including the address and title of public pages such as public profiles and public marks. It does not receive your birth details or the words of a private mark.
- Sentry may receive scrubbed crash and app-hang diagnostics if monitoring is enabled in a release build. The current source disables Sentry until a production configuration is supplied and is designed not to send default personal information, screenshots, view hierarchies, network breadcrumbs, or session replay.
- Cloudflare provides DNS for our domain.
We require service providers to protect information and use it only to provide services to us. Information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our providers operate, where local laws may differ from those where you live.
Legal, safety, and business disclosures
We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or maintain the security of Moon Wisdom Club. If the company is involved in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, information may transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards.
Small files, named plainly
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of text our website asks your browser to keep so it can recognize the same browser later. Here is every cookie we use, by name or name prefix, and how long each one lasts.
Essential cookies
These carry sign-in and the birth-chart flow. The site cannot offer those features without them.
- Sign-in session. Our authentication provider, keeps your session in cookies. They last up to 400 days, so you stay signed in between visits.
- mwc_pending_chart. A random ID holding a birth chart you started before creating an account. Lasts 7 days.
- mwc_founder_code. Carries an invite code through the email round trip so it is still there when you come back. Lasts 7 days.
Measurement cookies
The website works fine without these. They exist to measure the website as described under What we collect.
- mwc_funnel_id. The random funnel ID described earlier, set on your first visit, with nothing personal inside. Lasts up to 400 days.
- mwc_funnel_attr. Remembers how a visit arrived, such as campaign tags or the domain name of the site that linked to us. Lasts up to 400 days.
Google Analytics 4, described under Service providers above, is the one third party that sets its own cookies here. Their names begin with _ga, and their lifetime is Google’s setting, not ours: a two-year default that browsers cap at about 400 days. We set no advertising cookies and do no cross-site tracking.
On-device storage that is not a cookie
Your browser also keeps two small things on your device for us:
- mwc-mode. Your light-or-dark preference, kept in local storage until you clear your browser data.
- Birth place. The place you picked, held only while a tab stays open so the back button does not lose it.
These stored copies are never sent anywhere; the birth place reaches us only when you submit the form, as described under What we collect.
Refusing or clearing cookies
Your browser can block or delete cookies through its own settings; those are the controls that work here, and we do not show a cookie banner. The honest consequence: clearing or blocking the essential cookies signs you out and interrupts the birth-chart and invite flows, and clearing the measurement cookies means we count your next visit as a first one.
Kept only as needed
Retention and deletion
We retain account, profile, birth, mark, and membership records while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. We may retain limited security, transaction, tax, support, legal, and moderation records for the periods required by law or reasonably needed to protect the service and resolve disputes.
You can start account deletion in the iOS app. Deletion is intended to remove your account, private profile, birth details, cached chart, marks, and associated product records from active systems. Residual encrypted backups may persist for a limited backup cycle before they are overwritten.
Deleting your Moon Wisdom Club account does not cancel an auto-renewable subscription billed by Apple. Cancel or manage it in your Apple Account subscription settings.
Your consent to the moon letter belongs to you, not to your account. Deleting your account does not unsubscribe you, and the letter continues until you choose to leave it. Unsubscribe anytime with the link in any letter, whether or not you keep an account.
You can ask, change, or leave
Your privacy choices
- Access or copy. Ask for a copy of personal information associated with your account.
- Correct. Edit available profile fields in the app or ask us to correct information that cannot be changed there.
- Private or public. Change profile visibility and the sharing setting on a mark.
- Health permission. Change Apple Health access in iOS Settings or the Health app.
- Analytics choices. Use available device or browser controls. Ask us about the website analytics associated with your account or funnel identifier.
- Delete. Delete your account in the app or contact support if the in-app control is unavailable.
- Unsubscribe. Leave the moon letter anytime with the unsubscribe link in any letter. This choice is separate from account deletion, and unsubscribing does not affect your account or the email we send about it.
- Withdraw consent. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw it for future use. Some features may no longer work without the information they require.
- Complain or appeal. Contact us if you have a privacy concern. You may also contact the privacy regulator in your region.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some rights vary by location, and lawful exceptions may apply. Visit Support and Privacy Choices for the request route.
Age and care
Children
Moon Wisdom Club is not directed to anyone under 16. If we learn that we collected personal information from someone under 16, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
When this page changes
Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, providers, or law changes. We will update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide a reasonable notice in the app, on the website, or by email before the change takes effect where required.
