Begin with care
The room we are making
Public sharing is optional. There is no feed to win, no following count to chase, and no reason to turn a private reflection into a performance.
- Write from your own life
Share your experience without presenting astrology as fate, diagnosis, or certainty about someone else.
- Leave room for difference
Every person and every chart deserves dignity. Disagreement is welcome. Dehumanizing or targeted abuse is not.
- Protect what is private
Do not publish another person’s identity, story, image, health information, or private communication without permission.
- Share only what is yours to share
Use writing and images you created or have permission to publish. Give credit where it is due.
Clear boundaries
What is not allowed
Public profiles, marks, links, usernames, avatars, and other shared surfaces may not contain or facilitate:
- Hate or dehumanization. Attacks, slurs, exclusion, or praise of violence based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or another protected characteristic.
- Harassment or threats. Targeted abuse, stalking, intimidation, unwanted sexual attention, credible threats, or encouragement for others to harass someone.
- Sexual exploitation. Non-consensual sexual content, sexual coercion, trafficking, or any sexual content involving a minor. Suspected child sexual exploitation material is reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Graphic violence or encouragement of harm. Content that celebrates serious injury, encourages violence, provides instructions for serious wrongdoing, or targets a person for harm.
- Promotion of self-harm. Content that encourages, instructs, or romanticizes suicide, self-injury, or disordered eating. Supportive discussion and recovery-oriented writing are welcome.
- Privacy violations. Doxxing, account credentials, financial details, precise live location, intimate information, or private communications shared without permission.
- Impersonation and deception. Pretending to be another person or organization, fraudulent offers, malicious links, or materially misleading claims.
- Illegal or regulated transactions. Sales or facilitation of illegal drugs, weapons, exploitation, fraud, or other unlawful goods and services.
- Intellectual-property infringement. Writing, art, photography, guides, trademarks, or other protected work shared without authorization.
- Spam or platform abuse. Repetitive promotion, unsolicited commercial content, manipulation of reads, automated account creation, scraping, or attempts to bypass safety and access controls.
We may also remove content that creates a serious safety risk or makes the public service unusable, even when it does not fit neatly into one category.
Context matters
Sensitive personal writing
Journaling can hold grief, illness, trauma, recovery, sexuality, and other difficult parts of a life. Writing about those experiences is not automatically a violation. We look at context, purpose, detail, and likely harm.
Moon Wisdom Club is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services or a trusted crisis service in your region. Do not rely on a public mark or support email for urgent help.
Astrology on Moon Wisdom Club is for reflection. Do not use a chart or placement to diagnose, threaten, discriminate against, or claim certainty about another person.
You do not have to stay near harm
Report content and block people
When reporting controls are available in the shipped app, open the More menu on a public mark or profile and choose Report. Select the closest reason and add context if it will help the review. Reports should not be visible to the person reported.
Choose Block to hide a person and their public content from your in-app experience and prevent the blocked account from interacting with you through any supported social surface. Blocking does not replace a report when content may put someone at risk.
If the in-app control is unavailable, email hello@moonwisdomclub.com with “Safety report” in the subject. Include the public link, what happened, and screenshots if you have them. Never forward illegal sexual content involving minors.
How decisions are made
Moderation and enforcement
We consider the content, context, severity, history, and risk of further harm. Depending on the situation, we may:
- limit the visibility of content while it is reviewed;
- remove a public mark, profile detail, image, or link;
- warn the account and explain the rule;
- limit public sharing or another feature;
- temporarily suspend or permanently close an account;
- preserve evidence or notify authorities when legally required or reasonably necessary to address serious harm.
Serious safety reports are prioritized over routine ones. We review reports and act on violations as promptly as we reasonably can.
Decisions can be revisited
Notice and appeals
When practical and safe, we will tell you if your content or account is restricted and identify the guideline involved. You may request another review by replying to that notice or emailing support with “Moderation appeal” in the subject.
An appeal should explain what you believe was missed. A different reviewer should handle the appeal when staffing allows. Repeated reports or appeals submitted to harass another person may themselves violate these guidelines.
The room can learn
Changes to these guidelines
We may update these guidelines as the community, product, or safety landscape changes. The date above will change, and material changes will receive reasonable notice.
